Dear players preparing to play in the Super Bowl: anything you say during the two weeks leading up to the big game will be heard by everyone.

Some players just do not understand.

Take 49er’s corner Chris Culliver for example. After waking up to a “mean” text today, the DB known as Cully had some harsh generalizations for the female gender:

Later in the day, Culliver told comedian Artie Lange that he would not welcome a gay player into the 49er’s locker room. “I don’t do the gay guys man:”

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver told comedian Artie Lange that he would not welcome a gay player to the team.

Lange was in New Orleans for Super Bowl media day Tuesday, and played part of the interview on his syndicated radio show that night.

“I don’t do the gay guys man,” Culliver said in response to gay players in the NFL. “I don’t do that.”

Lange asked if he thought there were any gay players currently on the 49ers.

“No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can’t be with that sweet stuff.”

So Lange asks if gay players would need to keep it a secret.

“Yeah, come out 10 years later after that,” Culliver said.

Period.

In a statement that would no doubt make Gregg Williams happy, rapper Jarren Benton released the following tweet just a few minutes ago.

Must not be a fan of Colin Kaepernick’s tattoos. He does hail from Georgia, so perhaps his hatred for the 49ers lies within their victory over the Falcons.

Something tells me this might light a slight fire underneath the 49ers defense if they were to find out.

According to their Twitter account as well as the accounts of some of their leaders, the Westboro Baptist Church plans to picket next Sunday’s Super Bowl in New Orleans between the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49er’s, calling it “the Fag Bowl.”

Outraged by the avocation of gay marriage by Ravens’ linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo as well as the vast gay population of San Francisco, the organization filled their tweets last night with the hate and name calling that has characterized the group known for picketing funerals of fallen soldiers.

Warning: Tweets contain homophobic slurs:

Ayanbadejo has not tweeted a response.
