After postseason woes of his own, Orioles’ All-Star center fielder Adam Jones has spent his offseason as an extra Baltimore Ravens cheerleader to ensure that the city’s football squad did not face similar playoff dysfunctions. Jones’ cheering is best seen in the semi-viral picture from Denver that shows the slugger yelling at Super Bowl MVP and now-elite quarterback Joe Flacco as he jogs out of the tunnel:

Now, after celebrating the Ravens’ victory in New Orleans with the rest of the Baltimore faithful that made the trip, Jones plans on doing some lobbying directed towards the front office of his team:

I’m sure the Orioles brass already had the idea.

Oh, and by the way, Deion Sanders wants a piece of that first pitch, too:

The man behind SWAT and the deer antler spray that professional athletes, including Baltimore Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis allegedly digested, Mitch Ross, is somewhat of a celebrity these days, doing things such as media sessions and, apparently, signing autographs.

Today, according to the New York Daily News’ Manish Mehta, Ross was asked for an autograph with the inscription “Deer Antler.” Let what happened next speak for the entire scandal:

There are three locations that actually know of Jen Royle: New York where she got her start on the YES Network, Boston where she currently works as a glorified blogger on her own site, and Baltimore where she was ran out of town by fans who quickly grew tired of her constant insults towards the city and its teams, her lack of journalistic skill and professionalism, as well as her overwhelming favoritism toward New York and Boston. Her time in Baltimore was highlighted by an attempt to sue a local radio station/website for defamation.

These days, when Royle is not being a journalist on her Boston sports site, she is a Twitter firestarter, practically begging for attention by calling out Baltimore, its teams, and its fans. Her latest ploy was an attack at Ray Lewis and the Ravens as they prepare of their first Super Bowl appearance in 12 years:

After Ravens fans jumped on her for the tweet, she deleted it, making it appear as if she was attacked without reason. But, to her delight, she received the attention from Baltimorians that she wanted.

Royle also received attention from an odd source: Jimmy’s Seafood, a well known seafood restaurant located in Baltimore. Jimmy’s works closely with the Baltimore Ravens, frequently scheduling player appearances and also houses radio shows hosted by Ravens players. And as of tonight, they are running a promotion that you cannot beat:

Among all the PED rumors around sports today was the allegation that Baltimore Ravens’ All-Pro linebacker Ray Lewis was recorded ordering a deer antler spray that would help him heal from his torn triceps injury earlier this season.

From Deadspin’s article:

Mitch Ross, an admitted former steroids dealer, is the owner of S.W.A.T.S. After being sued by former Ram David Vobora, who failed a steroid test, Ross began filming his phone calls with clients. He shared with SI one from October, a call from Ray Lewis, seeking treatment for his torn triceps that would keep him out until the playoffs. Ross prescribed Lewis, among other things, the company’s “Ultimate Spray”—a deer-antler extract that contains IGF-1.

“Spray on my elbow every two hours?” Lewis asked.

“No,” Ross said, “under your tongue.”

Toward the end of the talk, Lewis asked Ross to “just pile me up and just send me everything you got, because I got to get back on this this week.”

But Stone Cold Steve Austin has something different to say about this:

And that’s the bottom line …

So Blake from the Comedy Central show Workaholics apparently isn’t the biggest fan of Ray Lewis. But wait, there’s more!

Well, maybe not. Why on earth would he arbitrarily post something like this? Seems a bit odd, don’t you think?

Oh. At least he’s excited for the Super Bowl.
