So I’m going to do my best to connect Donald Trump to the sports world. The former USFL team owner owns multiple golf courses, so there’s the justification for this post.

Now onto the good stuff. Rapper Mac Miller’s most successful song is entitled ‘Donald Trump’, and it currently has over 75 million views on YouTube.

Trump has previously praised Miller’s song, but now it has apparently occurred to him that there might be some money in it for him.

And now things get personal.

Trump is out of his mind. He should just be grateful for the free press he’s received from the song.

And your leading candidate for 2013 douche of the year is Donald Trump!

Andray Blatche says he “had a great time giving back” after taking orders at a Brooklyn McDonalds:

If he was not 6’11″ with coordination, Lord knows where Blatche would be working. Let’s just say he has a McDonalds work ethic, though.

14.

On the heels of Chris Culliver’s homophobic comments earlier today, former 49er’s lineman Tony Pashos tweets that the team’s contract clearly states a zero tolerance policy towards prejudice and discrimination:

It will be interesting to see if the team cracks down on Culliver and if they do it for the Super Bowl this Sunday.

Wives and girlfriends of athletes are always a quality source of embarrassing photos and information on their celebrity hubbies.

Earlier this week, Jill Davis, very attractive wife of Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis, tweeted a picture of the big lefty back in his tee ball days, before he was breaking windows in deep center field of the Rogers Centre:

Even if this is the only embarrassing tweet Jill sends out about her melon-headed husband, she is definitely worth a follow:

Dear players preparing to play in the Super Bowl: anything you say during the two weeks leading up to the big game will be heard by everyone.

Some players just do not understand.

Take 49er’s corner Chris Culliver for example. After waking up to a “mean” text today, the DB known as Cully had some harsh generalizations for the female gender:

Later in the day, Culliver told comedian Artie Lange that he would not welcome a gay player into the 49er’s locker room. “I don’t do the gay guys man:”

San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver told comedian Artie Lange that he would not welcome a gay player to the team.

Lange was in New Orleans for Super Bowl media day Tuesday, and played part of the interview on his syndicated radio show that night.

“I don’t do the gay guys man,” Culliver said in response to gay players in the NFL. “I don’t do that.”

Lange asked if he thought there were any gay players currently on the 49ers.

“No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do. Can’t be with that sweet stuff.”

So Lange asks if gay players would need to keep it a secret.

“Yeah, come out 10 years later after that,” Culliver said.

Period.

Trade season in the NBA has begun, with the Toronto Raptors trading Jose Calderon and Ed Davis to the Memphis Grizzlies for Rudy Gay and Hamed Haddadi.

Grizzlies’ guard Tony Allen is one of the more entertaining NBA players on twitter, so naturally his reaction to the trade was pure gold.

Maybe he was just upset that Haddadi won’t provide pregame jokes in the locker room. Either way, the Godfather of Grit ‘N Grind was not pleased.

There are three locations that actually know of Jen Royle: New York where she got her start on the YES Network, Boston where she currently works as a glorified blogger on her own site, and Baltimore where she was ran out of town by fans who quickly grew tired of her constant insults towards the city and its teams, her lack of journalistic skill and professionalism, as well as her overwhelming favoritism toward New York and Boston. Her time in Baltimore was highlighted by an attempt to sue a local radio station/website for defamation.

These days, when Royle is not being a journalist on her Boston sports site, she is a Twitter firestarter, practically begging for attention by calling out Baltimore, its teams, and its fans. Her latest ploy was an attack at Ray Lewis and the Ravens as they prepare of their first Super Bowl appearance in 12 years:

After Ravens fans jumped on her for the tweet, she deleted it, making it appear as if she was attacked without reason. But, to her delight, she received the attention from Baltimorians that she wanted.

Royle also received attention from an odd source: Jimmy’s Seafood, a well known seafood restaurant located in Baltimore. Jimmy’s works closely with the Baltimore Ravens, frequently scheduling player appearances and also houses radio shows hosted by Ravens players. And as of tonight, they are running a promotion that you cannot beat:

Without getting into specifics and — even worse — business terms: NBA Union Chief Billy Hunter sucks. He’s been accused of using the Union for personal gain and hiring his family to high-profile positions.

Arn Tellem, possibly the most powerful player agent in the NBA, sent a 1,500 word letter to each of his clients on Monday night, urging them to speak out against Hunter at next month’s All-Star festivities. Tellem put the majority of the letter in bullet-point form, because, you know, they’re NBA players:

* Mr. Hunter abused his position by hiring family members and by conducting business with friends and family that enriched his cronies at the expense of the players. In one instance, he tried to invest several million dollars of union funds into a failing New Jersey bank with business ties to his son without ever disclosing the family connection to the Executive Committee or player representatives.
* Mr. Hunter spent more than $300,000 in union funds exploring a series of ill-considered investments, including an energy drink company, real estate projects and a mixed martial arts fighting league in Japan.
* Mr. Hunter improperly lavished more than $100,000 in union funds on gifts for outgoing union presidents and executive committee members.
* Mr. Hunter billed players $1.3 million for unused vacation time without adequate documentation or oversight.
* In 2010 Mr. Hunter rammed through the NBPA executive committee a five-year contract extension for himself reportedly worth as much as $18 million. In violation of the union’s constitution and bylaws, the extension was never approved by the player reps, a fact that Mr. Hunter was aware of and chose to ignore.
* To suppress challenges to his authority, Mr. Hunter routinely intimidated players and union staff. He also stopped players from speaking freely about his conflicts of interest.
* Mr. Hunter told investigators that his son’s firm, Prim Capital, had no written contract with the NBPA. Yet a potentially fraudulent contract guaranteeing an annual $600,000 payment to Prim Capital turned up last week.

One of the players that Tellem sent this letter to is Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins. Coincidentally, on Tuesday night, Perkins was just sitting around thinking random thoughts:
